The Heritage Breeds set includes mulefoot hog, Wyandotte chicken, Narragansett turkey, and more. Milking Devon, an American cattle breed, originated from cows imported in 1623. Initially used for draft work, they later proved versatile, providing milk and quality meat. American Devons, medium-sized and well-mannered, fell out of favor over time. Thankfully, people today raise and appreciate the breed’s wonderful qualities.
